We wanted to personalise our rooms, decorating them with some personally chosen works of art. In fact, we took home Hominoidea, a collection of four canvases by the young and talented Milanese artist Iole Oliva.
What distinguishes her is a very personal and unconventional expressive language, centred on the reworking of forms, on a careful search for sophisticated chromatic effects and onthe exaltation of the plasticity and thickness of the material, which becomes an integral part of the canvas and gives life to surfaces that are never flat, accentuated chiaroscuro contrasts and plays of colour on several levels, in order to intensify the dramatic and emotional impact of the representation..
The main source of inspiration for her artistic production is nature in all its forms, a nature that is essential and perfect in its spontaneity, poignant and moving, made of materials and colours that reflect its innermost and ancestral mystery.
Iole has participated in group and solo art exhibitions, cultural initiatives and competitions and has already collected several appearances in contemporary art auctions.
Her works are mainly found in private collections.
